The programs housed in the Management, Information Systems, and Business Education Department are those whose subject matter typically have an impact across an entire organization. These programs include: business education, information & technology; management; and management information systems.

The business administration major in the Scott College provides students with the opportunity for a wide-range of careers. The program offers a solid foundation of knowledge along with the ability to customize coursework to meet specific interests through concentration areas. A minor is also available for non-business majors and complements many areas of study. Career opportunities in business administration include analyst, account services, general manager, human resources, marketing manager, operations, real estate, and many more. Management, Information Systems and Business education offers students an education in business that has the flexibility to meet their individual interests in specific business disciplines.

Business administration majors complete the required business core of courses and an additional six hours at the 300-400 level in each of three selected emphasis areas. Completion of this major leads to careers in a variety of business areas, or prepare for exciting careers in information systems by earning an online bachelor of science (B.S.) in management information systems from Indiana State University.
